The premise
What did the world look like as it was transforming into the horrifying apocalypse depicted in "The Walking Dead"? This spin-off set in Los Angeles, following new characters as they face the beginning of the end of the world, will answer that question.

Before the world of The Walking Dead became a lawless wasteland, there was a terrifying window of time when ordinary people first glimpsed the unravelling of everything they knew. Fear the Walking Dead plants us in Los Angeles at the very dawn of the outbreak, following a new cast of survivors struggling to comprehend — and outlast — a catastrophe still too raw to fully understand. The series trades the established post-apocalyptic landscape of its predecessor for something arguably more unsettling: a world mid-collapse, where denial and desperation are just as deadly as the dead themselves.
