The premise
Thousands of dead people have risen from their graves and nearly destroyed Britain. A cure has been found - but can the treated zombies be rehabilitated back into living society?

In the aftermath of a devastating zombie uprising, the British government has developed a treatment that suppresses the undead's violent impulses — but returning these 'Partially Deceased Syndrome' sufferers to their home communities proves far more complicated than a medical fix. The series follows one young man's deeply human struggle to reclaim his place in a small Lancashire town that hasn't forgotten what he did during the Rising. Hostility, guilt, and fractured family bonds simmer beneath the surface of an apparently quiet village, where not everyone believes the rehabilitated dead deserve a second chance. It's a slow-burn drama that uses the zombie genre as a lens for exploring prejudice, belonging, and what it truly means to be alive.
