The premise
Shizuka is the aristocratic wife of the president of a large company. When she wants to divorce her domineering husband, he orders his employee Yoshi, the son of an adult toy store owner, to train his wife to become sexually submissive.

In 1970s Japan, a cold act of revenge sets the stage for a deeply unsettling psychosexual ordeal. When an aristocratic wife seeks freedom from her controlling husband, she instead finds herself subjected to a calculated programme of humiliation and coercion at his command. Rooted in the notorious Japanese ero-guro tradition, this pink film adaptation is less interested in titillation than in exploring the brutal mechanics of power. It is a challenging and uncomfortable portrait of a marriage weaponised against its own partner.
