The premise

After the previous Godzilla attack, a miniature arms race ensues to collect his cells. Concerned over Godzilla's possible return, the Japanese government uses the cells to create a new bio-weapon, ANEB (Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria). They seeks the aid of geneticist Genshiro Shiragami, who's experiments result in a new mutation.

Horror Vault's take

In the aftermath of a devastating Godzilla attack, nations scramble to harness the creature's cells for military advantage, sparking a dangerous race between governments and shadowy interests. A grief-stricken geneticist's boundary-pushing experiments with those cells yield something wholly unexpected — and terrifying. When Godzilla inevitably resurfaces, Japan finds itself caught between two colossal threats, forcing a reckoning with the monsters science itself has made possible. This entry in the Heisei Godzilla series leans into biotechnology anxieties to deliver kaiju spectacle with an unusually dark scientific edge.
