The premise

Three computer-savvy kids, Naoto, Yuka and Ippei created their own videogame superhero, but then discover it possessed by an inter-dimensional police officer, Gridman. Pursuing an evil program called Kahn Digifer, he merges with Naoto and fights Kahn Digifer's digitized monsters in order to prevent the computerized demon from wreaking havoc on the Human World.

When three teenage computer enthusiasts stumble upon a mysterious presence inside their homemade video game hero, they find themselves drafted into a battle far bigger than any game. An inter-dimensional lawman named Gridman has crossed into cyberspace to hunt a malevolent digital entity — and he needs a human partner to fight back. Each week, corrupted monsters threaten to cross the boundary between the digital realm and the real world, putting everyday lives on the line. Part tokusatsu spectacle, part cautionary tech-age thriller, this 1993 series blurs the line between screen and reality in ways that still feel eerily prescient.
