The premise

When a hard-drinking drifter rolls into a remote desert town, he quickly discovers that the locals have a very particular tradition — and he's just been volunteered as the main attraction. Battling the crushing grip of alcohol withdrawal at the worst possible moment, he must find reserves of strength he may no longer possess just to stay alive. Equal parts backwoods survival nightmare and grim character study, Happy Hunting puts its broken protagonist through hell before the sun goes down.
