Horror Vault's take

A bloodied stranger washes ashore with no memory of who he is or where he came from, and a compassionate young woman nurses him back to life. As fragments of his past begin to resurface, so do the dangers that nearly killed him — and the lethal instincts buried within him prove impossible to ignore. Indonesian action auteurs Timo Tjahjanto and Kimo Stamboel craft a bone-crunching neo-exploitation thriller that doubles as a harrowing identity crisis. Iko Uwais delivers punishment and receives it in equal measure across some of the most ferociously choreographed close-quarters combat in recent memory.
