The premise

Carrie is a religious fundamentalist. But her mother decided to come-out-of-the-closet and marry another woman, which they have a daughter together with. Now, she is forced to move into a new house with people she cannot accept. The story takes place over the first two days at the strange house, as Carrie's new parents leave for a business trip and she must now take care of her step sister. As creepy occurrences lead to full blown terror, Carrie must learn to overcome her own fears and believes to save her little sister.

When a deeply religious teenager is uprooted to live with her mother's new same-sex partner and young stepsister, the culture shock is the least of her problems. Strange and increasingly terrifying events begin to plague the unfamiliar house, forcing Carrie to confront both the darkness closing in around her and the rigid beliefs she has always relied on. With the adults away and only a small child to protect, she must dig deeper than doctrine to face what lurks within those walls. Heather Langenkamp lends horror pedigree to this intimate, character-driven chiller.
