Deep winter isolation becomes a hunting ground when two families on an ice-fishing trip disturb something ancient and predatory lurking beneath a frozen lake. With nowhere to run and the ice stretching endlessly around them, the group must band together against a threat that defies easy explanation. Director James Felix McKenney keeps the stakes intimate, leaning on character tension and a punishing environment to build dread. Michael Rooker anchors the ensemble with his trademark grounded intensity.
