The premise
On Halloween eve in 1980, local outcast, Julien Cummings, is carelessly murdered. A vagabond witch doctor, Dr. Death, takes matters into his own hands and brings Julien back from the dead to creatively seek brutal revenge on his killers.

Set against the glow of Halloween night, Candy Corn follows a marginalized carnival worker whose fatal encounter with a gang of local bullies sets something dark and unstoppable in motion. A mysterious figure with otherworldly power refuses to let the injustice stand, and the killers soon discover that some debts are collected from beyond the grave. Director Josh Hasty leans into classic late-70s and 80s slasher sensibilities, delivering a grimy, carnival-soaked revenge tale with serious practical-horror ambitions. With a roster of genre legends anchoring the cast, this one is a love letter to the golden age of Halloween horror.
