The premise
As a couple goes on a trip to find their way back to each other, a sideshow artist and his shady entourage emerge from the woods, terrorizing them, luring them deeper into a maelstrom of psychological terror and humiliating slapstick.

A grieving couple attempts to reconnect on a camping trip, only to find that the forest holds something far more sinister than solitude. A grotesque sideshow performer and his menacing companions emerge from the trees, dragging them into a nightmarish ordeal that blurs the line between waking horror and dark fantasy. Swedish director Johannes Nyholm crafts a deeply unsettling fable that weaponises surrealism and pitch-black humour in equal measure. The result is a visceral meditation on how unprocessed grief can trap us in loops of pain we cannot escape.
