The premise
During the 70's, some Komodo Dragon eggs were dumped on an North Carolina island. Somehow, the baby Komodos survived, and twenty years later they have grown up and taken over the island for themselves. Young Patrick has lost his parents and his dog to the lizards, but didn't see them himself, which has left him traumatized. Now, with his therapist Victoria, they return to confront his fears.

When illegally dumped Komodo dragon eggs hatch on a remote North Carolina island, the reptiles grow unchecked for decades into apex predators ruling every corner of their domain. A teenage boy who suffered an unspeakable personal loss at the claws of these creatures is brought back to the island by his therapist in hopes of healing old wounds — but the danger turns out to be very much alive. What begins as a therapeutic journey quickly spirals into a desperate fight for survival as the massive lizards close in. Equal parts creature feature and psychological drama, Komodo pits human vulnerability against prehistoric ferocity.
