The premise
Giant lava breathing tarantulas – Lavalantulas – erupt out of ancient volcanos in the Santa Monica Mountains, raining death and destruction upon Los Angeles. With the City of Angels on the verge of incineration, only a washed up ‘90s action hero actor stands in the way of this monstrous swarm of bloodthirsty creatures who burn their victims alive.

When ancient volcanoes beneath the Santa Monica Mountains unleash a swarm of fire-breathing giant tarantulas on Los Angeles, the city faces an inferno unlike anything it has seen before. The unlikely last line of defense is a faded '90s action star who must trade nostalgia for heroism. Equal parts creature-feature chaos and tongue-in-cheek Hollywood satire, Lavalantula leans hard into its absurd premise and never looks back.
