The premise

Mark and his 12-year-old daughter’s lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the minimal amount of human blood she needs to stay alive.

A decade after a devastating event transformed his daughter Eleanor into a vampire, Mark has built their entire existence around keeping her alive and hidden in New York City. Frozen forever at the age of twelve, Eleanor navigates a world she can never fully join — no sunlight, no normal childhood, no end in sight. The series digs deep into what both father and daughter have surrendered, and how long either can endure the arrangement. It's a slow-burn character study wrapped in genre darkness, more interested in heartbreak than horror set-pieces.
