The premise
During Operation Iraqi Freedom, a US Army Squad is sent to a small Iraqi town to locate a missing news crew, only to find the residents of the town dead and a living weapon of mass destruction, a Manticore, awakened from its long slumber by a terrorist leader wanting to rid his land of the American invaders at any price.

Set against the backdrop of the Iraq War, a US Army squad ventures into a ghost town searching for a missing news crew — and stumbles upon something far deadlier than enemy combatants. An ancient mythological predator has been roused from centuries of dormancy, and it has no allegiance to any side of the conflict. Soldiers and journalists alike find themselves outgunned and outmatched by a beast that no military training could have prepared them for. Part warzone thriller, part creature feature, Manticore pits modern firepower against a legend that refuses to stay buried.
