Set against the gaslit atmosphere of turn-of-the-century Ireland and the open ocean, this period horror follows two carnival hustlers who believe they've struck gold when they capture a living mermaid. What they've truly caught, however, is something far older and far more dangerous than any sideshow attraction. As their vessel drifts toward cursed waters, the creature's true, terrifying nature slowly surfaces. This TV movie leans into dark maritime folklore, reimagining the mermaid as a lethal force of nature rather than a fairy-tale fantasy.
