The premise
Depressed and in debt, Santoshi tells his young daughter that he is going to find an infamous serial killer and collect a reward. However, when Santoshi disappears without a trace, she starts to fear the worst and begins searching for him.
Horror Vault's take
When a down-on-his-luck father announces his plan to track down a notorious serial killer for the reward money, his young daughter is left waiting — and then searching — when he vanishes without explanation. Set against the gritty backdrop of Osaka, the film builds a suffocating sense of dread as the daughter digs deeper into her father's trail. What begins as a missing persons search steadily unravels into something far more morally complex and psychologically unsettling. This Japanese thriller keeps viewers guessing at every turn, never letting tension fully release.
