The premise
Mike, after his release from a psychiatric hospital, teams up with his old pal Reggie to hunt down the Tall Man, who is at it again. A mysterious, beautiful girl has also become part of Mike's dreams, and they must find her before the Tall Man does.

Freshly released from a psychiatric institution, Mike convinces his old friend Reggie to hit the road and finish what they started — tracking the terrifying Tall Man across a trail of desecrated towns and emptied graveyards. As the body count rises and the chrome sentinels fly, a mysterious young woman haunts Mike's dreams, drawing him toward a destiny he may not be able to control. Director Don Coscarelli ratchets up the scale and firepower of the original's surreal mythology, delivering a bigger, bloodier sequel steeped in dread and dark imagination. Fans of the first film will find familiar nightmares waiting — and a few new ones.
