The premise
A disgraced children's puppeteer returns to his childhood home and is forced to confront his wicked stepfather and the secrets that have tortured him his entire life.

A haunted puppeteer retreats to the decaying Norfolk home of his youth, carrying with him a grotesque creation he cannot seem to destroy — no matter how hard he tries. What follows is a slow, suffocating descent into a mind fractured by shame and buried secrets, where the line between memory and nightmare collapses entirely. Sean Harris delivers a near-wordless performance of extraordinary intensity, anchoring a film that feels less like conventional horror and more like a waking fever dream. Possum is a deeply uncomfortable portrait of a man who has never been allowed to escape his own past.
