The premise
A scientist at a Florida university inadvertently creates a "rage virus" while performing experiments intended to restore dead brain tissue in baboons. When a journalist for the college paper breaks into the campus lab, he's bitten by one of the infected baboons; the virus soon spreads to a trio of rapists and a valley girl, all of whom go on killing sprees.

When a college journalist sneaks into a university research lab and is bitten by an infected baboon, he unwittingly becomes ground zero for a terrifying rage virus with roots in reckless neuroscience. The infection doesn't stay contained for long — it jumps to other students and the results are explosive, lethal, and increasingly out of control. Set against the sun-drenched backdrop of a Florida campus, Primal Rage turns collegiate life into a bloody battleground as the body count climbs and no one seems safe. This late-80s sci-fi horror entry delivers pulpy, visceral thrills with a trashy charm all its own.
