Deep in the Florida Everglades, a group of college students on a biology field trip discover that the murky waterways hide something far deadlier than anything in their textbooks. An enormous, air-breathing eel with razor-sharp teeth has already been carving a bloody path through a nearby community — and the students are about to become its next hunting ground. Rooted in real concerns about exotic Asian eel species released into southeastern waterways, the film blends creature-feature thrills with a swamp-drenched survival scenario. Local law enforcement scrambles to contain the threat before the body count climbs any higher.
