The premise
21 year-old slacker Sam Oliver learns that his parents sold his soul to the devil before he was born, and now Sam has to repay the debt by becoming the Devil's bounty hunter, retrieving souls that have somehow escaped from Hell.

When slacker Sam Oliver turns 21, he discovers his parents made a deal with the Devil before he was even born — and now the bill has come due. Pressed into service as Hell's bounty hunter, Sam must track down escaped souls using bizarre supernatural vessels, all while trying to hold down his dead-end job and social life. Equal parts buddy comedy and supernatural adventure, the show leans heavily on the charming chemistry between its cast and the devilishly scene-stealing Ray Wise. It's a lighter, funnier take on the underworld that never takes itself too seriously.
