The premise
Five men heist the Camp Pendleton payroll and kidnap a pilot and his daughter, who are forced to fly them to Mexico. Enroute a double cross has one of the thieves parachute with the loot into an abandoned farm surrounded by strange scarecrows. The rest of the team jump after their loot and their former partner. Everything happens during the course of one very dark night.

A military payroll heist goes sideways when one of the crew bails out mid-flight with the stolen cash, parachuting into the darkness surrounding a derelict farmhouse and its unsettling congregation of scarecrows. The remaining thieves — along with a kidnapped pilot and his daughter — are forced to pursue him through the night, only to discover that whatever haunts this remote property has no intention of letting anyone leave. Shot almost entirely in real-time across a single terrifying night, Scarecrows builds a creeping, rural dread that gets under the skin. What starts as a crime thriller curdles into something far more nightmarish than any double cross.
