When three teenage girls are abducted by a man whose mind houses dozens of distinct personalities, they quickly realize their captor is far more unpredictable — and dangerous — than any single person could be. The girls must think fast and stay sharp as the clock ticks toward the emergence of something none of them are prepared for. Director M. Night Shyamalan anchors the film in James McAvoy's staggering, chameleonic performance, which swings between menace and vulnerability with unnerving ease.
