Off the sun-soaked Mexican coast, a stray fossilized tooth sets two researchers on a collision course with a predator that science declared extinct millions of years ago. The megalodon — a shark of almost incomprehensible size — is very much alive and treating the local waters as its personal hunting ground. What begins as an alarming discovery quickly escalates into a desperate race to neutralize a killing machine that dwarfs anything the modern ocean should be able to produce. Notorious for its gleefully outrageous set pieces, this low-budget creature feature has earned a devoted cult following for all the right — and wrong — reasons.
