The premise
Öznur is a young and beautiful woman. She has had a platonic love since childhood to Kudret, who is her cousin. Kudret, however, is married to a woman named Nisa and is very happy. Jealous, Öznur uses terrible black magic to change this so that she and Kudret will be together. However, she is not prepared for the evil that this spell unleashes.

A young woman's obsessive longing for her married cousin drives her to dabble in black magic, hoping to bend fate in her favour. What begins as a desperate act of jealousy quickly spirals into something far darker than she ever anticipated. Turkish horror Sijjin taps into folklore and the supernatural to explore how unchecked desire can open doors that cannot easily be closed. Viewers drawn to slow-burn occult dread will find plenty to unsettle them here.
