The premise

So shamble up to the bar and pick your poison. Will it be an insane Santa on a personal slay ride? Honeymooners out to fulfill the "til death do we part" vow ASAP?

Hosted by the gleefully ghoulish Crypt Keeper — voiced with cackling relish by John Kassir — this long-running anthology series resurrects the twisted tales of classic E.C. Comics for the small screen. Each self-contained episode drops ordinary people into extraordinary situations where their own sins, schemes, and selfish desires tend to seal their fate in the most ironic ways imaginable. Equal parts horror and pitch-black comedy, the show revels in its Grand Guignol sensibility, wrapping moral lessons in gore-soaked gift wrap. It remains one of premium cable's most beloved and influential genre institutions.
