This Hammer production trades cheap thrills for creeping dread, using widescreen vistas and shadowy atmosphere to ask unsettling questions about what it truly means to hunt something that may not want to be found. Peter Cushing anchors the film with quiet authority, while the harsh Himalayan setting becomes a character in its own right.
