The premise
This ten episode program was based on ten short stories written by Agatha Christie but with wide-ranging themes. Some were romances, some had supernatural themes and a couple were adventures. The common link was that all came from the talented pen of Agatha Christie, all were entertaining and each drama was carefully crafted and well cast with many of Britain's best known actors of the time represented.

Adapted from ten of Agatha Christie's short stories, this British anthology series brings the Queen of Crime's lesser-known tales to life across a variety of tones and settings — from chilling brushes with the supernatural to romantic intrigues and far-flung adventures. Each self-contained episode showcases a rotating ensemble of accomplished British actors, lending the series a theatrical polish rarely seen in television of the era. While not exclusively horror, several entries venture into genuinely unsettling territory where the line between the rational and the inexplicable begins to blur. Fans of classic mystery with a darkly curious edge will find much to savour here.
