The premise
Zane Ziminski is an astrophysicist who receives a message that seems to have extraterrestrial origins. Eerily soon after his discovery, Zane is fired. He then embarks on a search to determine the origins of the transmission that leads him into a Hitchcockian labyrinth of paranoia and intrigue.

When radio astronomer Zane Ziminski intercepts what appears to be an alien transmission, he expects recognition — instead he loses his job and finds himself hunted. Driven by obsession and increasingly unable to trust anyone around him, Zane digs deeper into a conspiracy that stretches far beyond a single mysterious signal. What unfolds is a tightly wound chase thriller that pits one man's dogged persistence against forces operating on a terrifyingly grand scale. Equal parts Hitchcock and hard sci-fi, The Arrival keeps its secrets close while steadily ratcheting up the dread.
