When a group of seven travellers takes shelter in a brooding European castle, they find themselves ensnared in a trap older than any of them could imagine. A bewitching and deadly woman stalks the halls, and each guest seems drawn toward their own particular vice. Steeped in Gothic atmosphere and European exploitation flair, this 1971 Belgian-Italian chiller weaves theology and terror into a lush, macabre fable. The Devil is very much in the details here — and in the castle.
