The premise

A road trip turns into a nightmare when four college students crash near Emeryville, a decrepit New England village with a deeply troubled past. What was once the site of clinical experiments gone horribly wrong has left its mark on the locals in ways that become terrifyingly clear after dark. Cut off from the outside world, the group must piece together the town's grim history while fighting for their lives. Emeryville does not welcome outsiders — and it does not let them leave easily.
