The premise
A journalist finds himself on the trail of a murderer who's been targeting people around him, while the police are considering him a suspect in their investigation.

In this stylish Italian giallo, a hard-drinking journalist becomes entangled in a string of murders that seem to be closing in on his own social circle. As the body count rises, the investigating authorities turn their eyes toward him, blurring the line between hunter and hunted. Director Luigi Bazzoni crafts a visually elegant exercise in paranoia, with Luciano Tovoli's striking cinematography elevating every scene. Fans of classic European thriller craft will find plenty to savour in its cool, unsettling atmosphere.
