When a catastrophic hurricane slams into Louisiana and sends floodwaters surging, a group of prisoners and their guards find themselves trapped with nowhere to run — and something massive circling in the rising water. Giant alligators, emboldened and hungry, close in on the stranded survivors in an increasingly desperate fight to stay alive. The confined setting keeps the tension uncomfortably tight as the line between captor and captive is tested by a far more primal threat.
