The premise
After intrepid working girl Mary Carter becomes the new owner of a reputedly haunted mansion located off the Cuban coast, a stranger phones warning her to stay away from the castle. Undaunted, Mary sets sail for Cuba with a stowaway in her trunk—wise-cracking Larry Lawrence, a radio announcer who helps Mary get to the bottom of the voodoo magic, zombies and ghosts that supposedly curse the spooky estate.

When a young woman inherits a foreboding mansion on a remote Cuban island, sinister warnings and shadowy threats suggest the estate is every bit as cursed as its reputation. Tagging along — quite literally hidden in her luggage — is a fast-talking radio man whose wisecracks can't quite mask the very real dangers lurking in the dark corridors. Together they wade into a world of voodoo, rumors of zombies, and restless spirits to uncover what truly haunts the old castle. It's a perfect marriage of belly laughs and genuine atmospheric chills.
