The premise
Shaun lives a supremely uneventful life, which revolves around his girlfriend, his mother, and, above all, his local pub. This gentle routine is threatened when the dead return to life and make strenuous attempts to snack on ordinary Londoners.
Horror Vault's take
When the undead begin overrunning London, a directionless everyman finds that shuffling through life on autopilot may have actually been preparation for the zombie apocalypse. Armed with little more than a cricket bat, a best mate, and a plan involving their favourite pub, Shaun and his ragtag group of survivors must navigate both the undead hordes and their own messy personal lives. Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg's genre-defining zom-com balances genuine scares with razor-sharp British wit and surprising emotional warmth.
