The Horror of Party Beach1964
“WEIRD! Ghoulish atomic beasts who live off human blood!”
Directed by Del Tenney
The premise
Radioactive waste dumped off the coastline creates mutant monsters. The beasts attack slumber parties, beaches, tourists, and terrorize a waterfront community as a scientist, his daughter, her boyfriend and the local police try to find a way to stop them.
Horror Vault's take
When barrels of radioactive waste are illegally dumped into the ocean off the Connecticut coast, something terrible awakens beneath the waves. Grotesque sea creatures begin crawling ashore, targeting beachgoers and terrorizing the surrounding community in a series of escalating attacks. A determined scientist and a small band of locals race against time to discover the creatures' weakness before the body count climbs any higher. Equal parts beach-party romp and monster mayhem, this low-budget 1964 creature feature delivers vintage atomic-age dread with a rock-and-roll soundtrack to match.
