The premise
Stefano, a young restorer, is commissioned to save a controversial mural located in the church of a small, isolated village.

A young art restorer arrives in a sleepy, insular Italian village to salvage a disturbing mural inside the local church — a work created by a painter whose legend is as troubling as the image itself. The more Stefano uncovers about the artwork and its origins, the more the village's secretive residents seem to close ranks around him. What begins as a professional commission quietly curdles into something far more sinister, with a creeping sense that the past in this community has never truly been buried.
