The premise
When a mysterious animal attack leaves a mutilated body in the forest, a conservative small town detective must enlist the help of an eager wildlife specialist to uncover the dark and disturbing truth that threatens the town.

A gruesome discovery deep in the woods sets a by-the-book small-town detective on a collision course with something far beyond ordinary criminal investigation. Reluctantly partnering with a passionate wildlife specialist, the two must piece together what manner of creature is responsible before the body count rises. The film leans into creeping dread and rural isolation, letting the mystery of the beast build tension as the investigation unfolds.
