The premise
Toby Logan is a highly skilled paramedic with a secret – he can read minds. Toby never really knew his parents and grew up in foster care, this coupled with his secret, which he shares with no one, has made him a bit of a loner. Until now, Toby has kept his ability hidden, exploring its possibilities only with his long time mentor and confidante Dr. Ray Mercer.

Toby Logan is a Toronto paramedic carrying an extraordinary secret: he can hear the thoughts of those around him. Raised in foster care and accustomed to keeping the world at arm's length, Toby has spent years suppressing his telepathic gift with only one trusted confidant. When his ability begins pulling him into criminal investigations, the line between his ordinary life and something far more dangerous starts to blur. Equal parts crime procedural and supernatural character study, the series balances street-level tension with a slow-burn exploration of what it truly costs to know too much.
