The premise

Dr. Bonner plans to live forever through periodic gland transplants from younger, healthier human victims. Bonner looks about 40; he's really 104 years old. But people are starting to get suspicious, and he may not make 200.

Horror Vault's take

Behind the charming facade of a distinguished Parisian surgeon hides a century-old secret kept alive through increasingly desperate — and deadly — medical procedures. Dr. Bonner's unnatural longevity comes at a terrible price for those unfortunate enough to cross his path. As suspicion closes in from colleagues and acquaintances, his carefully constructed world of privilege and deception begins to crack. Hammer Film Productions brings their signature lush Gothic atmosphere to this chilling tale of a man who has cheated nature for far too long.
