The premise
Samuel, a boy who lives with his mother Elena in Villa dei Laghi, an isolated manor surrounded by woods, feels trapped in the family routine, growing up seemingly protected, but unsatisfied and restless.

Deep in the woods, a grand but suffocating manor becomes the whole world for young Samuel, raised under the watchful eye of his mother Elena in near-total seclusion. When outside connections begin to seep through the walls of their carefully controlled existence, the delicate balance of life at Villa dei Laghi starts to crack. This Italian psychological horror-drama builds its dread slowly, trading jump scares for an oppressive atmosphere of hidden truths and unspoken tension. What feels like protection may be something far more sinister.
