The premise

A group of teenagers get into a car crash in the Texas woods on prom night, and then wander into an old farmhouse that is home to Leatherface and his insane family of cannibalistic psychopaths.

Horror Vault's take

Prom night takes a savage detour when a group of teenagers crash their car in the backwoods of Texas and stumble upon a decrepit farmhouse harboring Leatherface and his deranged clan. What follows is a relentless, increasingly unhinged ordeal as the survivors fight to escape a household where cruelty is a family tradition. This fourth entry in the franchise leans into darkly comedic excess while delivering the raw terror the series is known for, featuring early breakout performances from two future Hollywood stars.
