In a rural Taiwanese village gripped by a disturbing wave of suicides, a young woman gifted — or cursed — with paranormal sensitivity attempts to make contact with a powerful spirit using traditional streamers, with dire consequences. A reluctant exorcist haunted by a traumatic past confrontation with a fearsome entity is drawn back into the fight against forces he had sworn to leave behind. The film weaves Taiwanese folk belief and supernatural dread into a story of community collapse and personal reckoning.
