The premise
Siblings, Eric & his surreal artist sister Kay, her doctor husband David, her sister-in-law Brooke along with pilot Marsh become stranded on a rugged isle face off against a supernatural beast drawn to Kay who dreams of its killings.
Horror Vault's take
A small group of vacationers find themselves marooned on a desolate, fog-shrouded island with no way out and something deadly closing in. At the centre of the terror is Kay, a troubled artist whose disturbing dreamscapes seem to share an uncanny connection with the brutal deaths unfolding around her. The film blurs the line between nightmare and waking life, leaving both Kay and the audience questioning what is real. Bleak coastal atmosphere and a creeping sense of inevitability make this early-eighties oddity a cult favourite among fans of slower-burn genre fare.
