The premise
A mad doctor uses patients at his isolated psychiatric institute as subjects in his attempts to create longevity by surgically installing an artificial gland in their skulls.

Deep within a remote psychiatric institute, a brilliant but unhinged doctor pursues the secret of eternal life — using his own patients as unwilling surgical guinea pigs. New arrivals quickly sense that something is very wrong behind the institute's respectable facade, but escape may not be as simple as it seems. This late-'50s B-movie delivers classic mad-scientist menace anchored by a memorable ensemble of cult-era character actors.
