The premise

Three single women in a picturesque village have their wishes granted, at a cost, when a mysterious and flamboyant man arrives in their lives.

Horror Vault's take

In a quaint New England village, three independent women find their deepest longings suddenly, unnervingly fulfilled when a larger-than-life stranger sweeps into town. What begins as liberation and indulgence gradually curdles into something far more sinister, as the price of their wishes becomes impossible to ignore. Jack Nicholson is at his most deliriously unhinged opposite a powerhouse trio of Cher, Susan Sarandon, and Michelle Pfeiffer, making this a uniquely star-studded blend of dark fantasy and horror-tinged comedy.
