The premise
While working on a thesis about audiovisual violence, film student Ángela finds a snuff video where a girl is tortured until death. Soon she discovers that she was a former student in her university, and that the authors of the video are not very far either.

A film studies student researching screen violence stumbles onto something far more disturbing than academic theory — a genuine snuff tape featuring a victim with ties to her own university. As she digs deeper alongside two very different classmates, the line between observer and target begins to blur. Alejandro Amenábar's debut feature keeps the tension coiled tight, questioning whether our appetite for violent imagery makes us complicit in it. The killer may be closer than anyone suspects.
