The premise
Two hillbillies are suspected of being killers by a group of paranoid college kids camping near the duo's West Virginian cabin. As the body count climbs, so does the fear and confusion as the college kids try to seek revenge against the pair.

Tucker and Dale are just two good-natured West Virginia buddies looking forward to fixing up their ramshackle lakeside cabin — until a group of college campers mistakes them for murderous hillbillies straight out of a slasher movie. What follows is a gleefully chaotic comedy of errors where every attempt to clear up the misunderstanding only makes things look worse. The film skewers backwoods horror tropes with sharp wit and surprising heart, delivering laughs and splatter in equal measure.
