The premise
A series of murders leads Commander Trujillo to Santa Rosa de la Sal a town close to a salt mine, where he meets Victor Zepeda - a lonely teenager who works in his father's funeral home and spends his free time making crude animated horror films - who's strange behavior seems to point at him as the culprit of the crimes.

When a string of brutal murders rocks the remote, salt-dusted town of Santa Rosa de la Sal, Commander Trujillo arrives to investigate and finds himself drawn to Victor Zepeda — a withdrawn teenager who lives among the dead in his father's funeral home and channels his morbid imagination into homemade horror films. The bleak industrial landscape of the salt mine looms over a community that seems to be hiding something, and Victor's unsettling behavior keeps pushing him to the center of suspicion. This Mexican psychological thriller builds its dread slowly, trading gore for atmosphere as the line between eccentric outsider and genuine menace refuses to stay clear.
